Queta Blast

QUETTA (web desk ) – 7 people were killed and 22 others injured on Wednesday morning when a roadside bomb hit a police truck in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta.

According to details ,the attack took place on Sibi Road in Sariab area.

Police turck completely destroyed in the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, a white car parked on the roadside exploded as a truck carrying around 30 Rapid Response Force (RRF) personnel passed by.

Rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and shifted bodies and the injured persons to Quetta Civil Hospital.

Security forces have cordoned off the area while BDS personnel are collecting evidence to ascertain exact nature of the blast.

Provincial home minister Sarfaraz Bugti told media that a car rammed the police vehicle before catching fire, adding it was “apparently a suicide attack”.

Balochistan, which borders Iran and Afghanistan, has oil and gas resources but is afflicted by militancy, sectarian violence and a separatist insurgency.
