ISLAMABAD (web desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Monday submitted sealed details of its bank accounts in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), consisting particulars of seven years in five volumes.
PTI lawyer Saqlain Haider asked the ECP to give a receipt as a confirmation of submission, upon which he was rebuked by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan.
CEC remarked that were are not some stockists that you are asking receipts of. It was PTI’s duty to submit the record, Sardar Raza Khan added.
PTI counsel Faisal Chaudhry apologized from the commission and requested it to not make the submitted record public. CEC ensured the lawyer that these details will be opened in front of PTI’s representative.
The hearing of PTI foreign funding case has been adjourned till October 16.
