Pakistan-India Champions Trophy clash just a day away

BIRMINGHAM (web desk ) – The preparations of Pakistan are in full swing as the mega clash of Champions Trophy with defending champions India, also the most awaited cricketing event of the year, is just a day away.

The Green Shirts are practicing hard in Birmingham, and the team are ready to conquer their opponents on Sunday. Young batsman Babar Azam is eager to perform well in the match. Babar told that there is no pressure on him for the game against India.

Speedstar Wahab Riaz, who got injured during the warm-up game, is recovering quickly. His fitness test will be taken before the match.

Pakistan batsman Haris Sohail insisted that his team has to forget about the opposition to overcome extra pressure.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the target of Pakistan team is not only to defeat India but also to win the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Former Pakistan batsman and commentator Ramiz Raja said Indian batting lineup is weak and can be exposed against Pakistan with the likes of pacers Junaid Khan, Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz.

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed also made it clear that there is no pressure for the high-profile Champions Trophy match against India, and said the team is trying to remain relaxed.

On the other hand, Indian team are also preparing well for the battle against Pakistan, and are also in pursuit to defend their title.

However, the bad news for cricket enthusiasts is that the Met Office has predicted that rain may occur acting as a hindrance to the match between India and Pakistan, and spoil the excitement.

Let it be known that the tickets of Pakistan-India match have already been sold out. The arch-rivals will lock horns with each other on Sunday at 02:30 PM (PST) at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
