ISABAD (web desk) – After the appointment of Sardar Yaqoob Nasir as the interim president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the party is consulting over the name of its permanent president, and Kulsoom Nawaz is the strong candidate.
According to sources, it will be decided whether Kulsoom Nawaz will become the party president or Shehbaz Sharif before the general council’s meeting on September 7.
It has been learnt that the role of Maryam Nawaz and Kulsoom Nawaz in previous four years was very important in the party, and the aggressive strategy opted by PML-N after Nawaz’s disqualification was also because of Maryam’s suggestion.
Furthermore, the decision of including Javed Hashmi in the party will also be taken by Kulsoom Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz.
It is worth mentioning here that the post of PML-N’s president was evacuated when Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on July 28.
