DUBAI (web desk) – Former army chief Pervez Musharraf has warned on Wednesday that military should not be messed with and be allowed to operate as it does.
In an interview with anchorperson Kamran Shahid in programme ‘On The Front’, Musharraf said that heads of state institutions are not schoolgoing kids or section officers who would ‘listen to you’ the entire life.
Citing his dictatorial ousting of then prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf said that the military does not disturb the prevailing situation for no reason.
Musharraf criticised disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif by claiming that he wants authorities of the insitutions to work as ‘slaves’ and that he thinks of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) and the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) his slaves.
The former army chief said that Nawaz Sharif has an issue that he delivers orders that are deemed for wrong. He revealed that during his tenure as the COAS, Nawaz ordered him to terminate two generals of services but he did not comply with the ‘wrong’ order.
Asif Nawaz Janjua was displeased with Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf asserted.
Nawaz Sharif attempts to dictate the force and complain of reaction later, he said adding that Nawaz Sharif got the army disgraced in Kargil issue.
